Few days ago, one of our Malaysia customers and his partner visited our factory and signed the sales contract on the gearless direct drive HVLS ceiling fan by diameter 5.2 on site. That was a very excited news for us. This Malaysia customer is our new customer and also is the first time to visit our factory.

Why do Qixiang HVLS FAN only have 5 blades instead of more?

  ​Longer blades will create a wider column of air that is pushed downwards by an  HVLS fan . Airflow research conducted by Ramadan Bassiouny and Nader S. Korah published in a 2011 issue of Energy and Buildings showed that the maximum amount of airflow comes from the midpoint of a fan. Airflow is lowest in the center of the fan and at the very edge of blade tips. This is why you don’t feel as much airflow when standing directly under a ceiling fan as you would if you were standing slightly to the side of its hub. More blades might improve the velocity of air moving through the fan, but they don’t do anything to widen the column of air pushed out by the fan.
